The Latest

Things are a little hectic here lately in the Pina household. We just returned from a weekend trip to Dallas, and are proud to say we survived our first trip with baby! Now we have two days to get ready for our next trip!! We're headed to NM to go to my family reunion. This will be our first plane ride with Quinn. Jaime and I are both VERY nervous about this, so if you could send some positive thoughts our way it might help out a little! Quinn always does just fine anywhere we go, maybe we need to learn how to stop worrying!

We decided to see if Quinn would be able to sit in her Bumbo seat and she did pretty well seeing as though she doesn't have complete control of her head and neck yet! That's ok, we'll just keep working on tummy time!

Happy 1st Father's Day to Jaime!!

Quinn and I had several gifts to give Jaime for Father's Day, but we just couldn't wait to give them to him today so we gave him his gifts last night! Jaime just bought some new golf clubs several weeks back so we thought it would be a great idea to buy him a travel case to carry his clubs. This is going to come in real handy on our upcoming trip to New Mexico. Quinn bought her Daddy some books that are just for the two of them. One book was "The 10 Things I Love About My Dad" and another was "Just Daddy and Me". Jaime can't wait until Quinn gets a little bit older to read them to her! We spent our day relaxing at home enjoying our family of three time. We had a family barbecue and enjoyed Jaime's delicious burgers and baked beans. Quinn and I are so very lucky to have a Dad like Jaime, one that is super involved and cares so much about us. Our day was great!

Quinn can lift her head!

We've been working on our "tummy time" with Quinn when she plays in her gym a lot lately. She is not the biggest fan of being on her tummy and usually fusses a bit when we roll her on to her belly. I think this was mainly because until recently, she wasn't really able to lift her head very well and didn't like having her head down on the gym mat. Now that she's gaining more strength and control, she's able to stand tummy time for more than two minutes!

She's getting so big!

I snapped these pics of Quinn today and just can't get over how chubby she is getting! Comparing these pics to her newborn pics looks like a completely different child!

Ready for Summer!

Quinn is ready to hit the sun and sand! This summer we will be going on our first vacations as a family. Our first stop will be Dallas at the end of this month. We're going to go to the Great Wolf Lodge for Jaime's regional meeting for Edward Jones. After that we're going to take our first plane ride as a family and head to New Mexico for my family reunion. We'll be hanging out in the mountains of Angel Fire for the reunion. Don't worry- we're staying in a cabin. If Quinn grows up to be anything like me, this will be the only way to camp! We're also excited to hang out with all of my teacher friends who will be off for the summer as well! :)
