Cabin Fever

Quinn came down with a little virus and has been home all week. I guess she must be getting creative in how to keep herself entertained. In this picture, she is wearing her Daddy's socks while pushing her stroller with an old wallet of mine. Hey, whatever gets us through the day, right??

Splash Park

We have the coolest little splash park just a couple minutes from where we live. Quinn has had some great fun splashing around with some of her play group buddies there. Here are a couple of pics from last week. I thought it was really funny how she kept her little sunglasses on the whole time!

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken yesterday by a very talented local photographer, Abby Glenn. We just love the images we've seen so far on her blog. Check it out:

What Wonderful Weather!

We had the most beautiful weather today in the hill country. We literally spent the entire day outside and I was able to capture some great pictures so I thought I'd post our lovely day.

This baby stroller goes everywhere Quinn goes. We had such a nice time walking around our neighborhood watching all of the action. There was a big backyard party at one of our neighbor's home's and Quinn really enjoyed watching all of the company come and go.

She's so unbelievably happy when she is outdoors.

Quinny steers you whichever way she wants you to walk with her.

So much fun jumping the stairs with Daddy!

Enjoying some yogurt under some shade out on the deck.

We usually strip her down when she's eating messy foods.

Mama Rose and Papa James stopped by to join in on the fun!

Q is so lucky to have such wonderful Grandparents!

We were able to do so much yard work and even get a jogging stroller that my sister gave us all jazzed up and ready to roll. I added a little Petite Pineapples flair and made a nice little slipcover for it and Jaime shined it up to make it look like new. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Hope you all are enjoying the beautiful sunshine just as much as we are!

Mother's Day

What a special day we had! Last year, Quinn was only a couple weeks on Mother's Day so we were pretty consumed with just trying to figure out the whole newborn thing and didn't really leave our house for any sort of celebration. If I remember correctly, Jaime went and got take out food for us and we just ate while watching Quinn sleep in her little bouncy seat.

This year was a little different, after a full year of being a mommy, I now have a better feel for what being a Mom entails. I LOVE being Quinn's mommy and wouldn't change it for anything in the world. She has changed our lives in such an indescribable way- we hardly remember what life was like before she arrived!

Jaime and Quinn really did spoil me yesterday starting with breakfast in bed. It was nice to be able to sleep in a bit (even if it was only until 8:00 am) while Jaime fed Quinn her breakfast and made us some delicious eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Quinn have me a gift card to JoAnn's Fabrics which is great because I'm always there! Later in the afternoon, we got ready to go to a Round Rock Express baseball game and as we were getting in the car, I found another giftcard for a massage! How nice! The last massage I had was when I was about eight months pregnant so that will be a very nice treat. The baseball game was fun too! Quinn loved dancing whenever any music came on and enjoyed eating a whole hotdog. After the game, we came home and played outside for a while then put Quinn to bed. Jaime and I worked on our flower beds until we had no sunlight left.

It was a great day and felt so nice to be pampered and showered with love. I am so blessed to have such a special little family!!

Witching Hour Nightmare

Ok Momma friends....HELP! Who is this girl that has been arriving at my house every evening while I'm trying to cook dinner???? She looks just like Quinn but is acting so bizarre. Screaming, crying, throwing herself on the floor are some of her favorite behaviors during my dinner cook time. What can I do (besides give her a snack) that can keep her occupied so I can get a meal finished?
