Morning Cup of Joe

Every day I make a smoothie for Quinn which she calls "zoonie". Since she doesn't drink milk, I've found that if I mix it in a blender with bananas and strawberries, she has no clue milk is in the smoothie and slams it down. Today I put it in one of Jaime's coffee cups so that she could continue playing while drinking her "zoonie". She kept saying "Yum! Drink coffee!!". I thought it was cute.

Book It

Just thought this was cute- Quinn LOVES reading and was nose deep in this book on our trip to Target this afternoon.

All Better Now

So happy to report that Quinn is flu free and back to her happy self! She was VERY excited to spend the night with her Mama Rose (Mose) and Papa James on Friday. She also had a grand time celebrating a birthday for one of her little playgroup buddies on Saturday. Just a great weekend. Here are a couple pics from the weekend:

P.S.- this time change is killing us! Quinn woke up this morning at 5:45 (normally 7:30ish) and was soooo tired around 10 am! She was so tired while we were getting groceries that she put her head down on the cart and just rested. When we got home she said "take a nap" and walked to her crib. Wow! Hopefully we'll get into the new routine soon!

Flu= The Gift That Keeps On Giving

After feeling great on Sunday and Monday, Quinn had a little visit of the yucky flu again this morning. We went to the pediatrician and learned that in little ones this is common- to be symptom free for a few days only to have it reappear for a few more. So looks like we're going to be home again for a few more days. I felt REALLY bad for Quinn this morning because it was yet another play date that we were getting ready for when she got sick. I had to give her a bath again after she got sick and this time she was crying and saying "No bath mommy! Mia, cookies!!". She was very sad that we weren't going to be able to play with her friends and that we wouldn't be eating any of the cookies that I made for the play date. This picture really sums up how she felt today- exhausted. Poor baby!

Happy Halloween!!

Quinn was feeling much better today! Yay! We were able to do a little trick-or-treating around the block with Mama Rose and Papa James. She was a little unsure about what we were doing at the first couple of houses, but by the end she was holding her bag out for treats at every door. After going to a couple homes, we went home and passed out candy. This may have been more fun for Quinn then the actual trick-or-treating was! She would get so excited every time the door bell would ring and run to the door yelling "kids!!". She loved putting candy in every body's buckets. It was a great night!

Stomach Flu = Boo :(

Quinn came down with a little tummy bug and has been feeling a little down today. We were all dressed and ready to go to a Halloween party at one of her playgroup friends' house when she got sick. I felt so bad for her as I was giving her a bath- mostly because she was really sad we didn't go to the party. She was crying and saying "Ayden, Leah, party!". Those are a couple of her little buddies that she was so excited to see this morning.

But on the bright side, we did get a chance to put on her pumpkin costume on Thursday morning for a Fall Festival in Round Rock. Since Quinn is obsessed with every pumpkin we see, I thought it would be fun for her to be one! Here are a few pictures from Thursday morning:
Ayden and Quinn
She didn't really get the idea of putting a treat in her basket. She looked bewildered when someone would hand her a treat. It was really cute!
Cutest things! Leah from our playgroup was this adorable giraffe! Hugs. :)

Hopefully by Sunday (Halloween) Quinn will be feeling better and may be able to go to a couple of houses to get some treats. Good thing she doesn't know what is inside the candy wrappers, yet.
